Man Declines Help after Accident, Later Dies

A man died, on Saturday, from injuries he sustained in a head-on car crash.

The car accident occurred at 3pm in Anderson County. Investigators say, the car turned left onto McGee Street and collided head-on into a car driven by a 54-year-old man. The man declined going to the hospital when asked how he felt.

He called his wife to come pick him up at the accident site. Soon after, the man started complaining of chest pain, so his wife took him to the hospital where he died shortly after at 5pm.

Investigators believe he damaged his aorta in the accident.
