A man in London, England is suing Royal Cornwall Hospital for compensation after he spent his entire life savings based on hospital doctors' diagnosis that he had pancreatic cancer and only had six months live. After receiving the diagnosis of terminal pancreatic cancer, John Brandick quit his job and spent his entire life savings, staying at luxury hotels and taking friends and family members to fine restaurants. He sold his car, he got rid of his clothes and even stopped paying his mortgage payments. He even selected the suit in which he wanted to be buried. After he started feeling better, he returned to the hospital for additional testing which revealed he had only suffered from pancreatitis, a non-fatal illness. Mr. Brandick is now suing the hospital for negligence after the doctors admitted the medical misdiagnosis.
